Credit Research Analyst, Global Macro

<p><strong>ROLE</strong></p> <p>We're seeking an investment analyst to join a discretionary macro team focused on liquid credit.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct rigorous fundamental bottom up credit research to identify attractive long/short investment opportunities. This will entail credit analysis, financial modelling, documentation reviews, etc.</li> <li>Analyze businesses and capital structures (loans, bonds, CDS) across Distressed, High Yield, and High Grade credit markets and develop credit opinions.</li> <li>Synthesize market information and develop thematic trade ideas across sectors.</li> <li>Develop differentiated investment views from consensus and push conviction or contrarian viewpoints.</li> <li>Monitor existing positions, including news-flow, fundamental developments, and supply.</li> <li>Engage and maintain external relationships (sell-side research, syndicate, company management, ratings agencies) to develop views on issuers.</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul> <li>3-6 years of experience in credit research or trading on the buy-side or sell-side, ideally as a desk analyst or trader.</li> <li>Experience building full three statement models (forward/backward), including all key KPIs.</li> <li>Direct experience reviewing credit agreements and bond indentures in order to understand corporate balance sheet flexibility.</li> <li>Prior industry specific focus and experience preferred.</li> <li>Entrepreneurial mindset.</li> <li>Commitment to the highest ethical standards.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>About Point72:</u></strong></p> <p>Point72 is a leading global alternative investment firm led by Steven A.
