As a Principal Risk Specialist on the US Card Channels Well Managed (CWM) team at Capital One, you will help to address the most important issues across the Customer Services & Strategy (CS&S) Well Managed (WM) Ecosystem, while working to continuously improve our own internal working model. 

Core Responsibilities:

- Support critical Well Managed Monitoring of key processes to remove systemic risk and target governance and execution improvements

- Partnering with our monitoring and reporting team, researching data needs and connecting data gaps to support vertical and horizontal monitoring, so we can elevate awareness and drive actions to bridge risks, issues and build solutions.

- Engage with Back Office Transformation (BOT), Manual Process Governance (MPG), and Detached Process work, keeping CWM Leadership informed of impacts.

- Relentlessly identify opportunities for improvement across the CS&S WM Ecosystem using data-driven methodologies.

- Create influential, data-rich presentations to drive decisions and investment.

- Deepen connections and relationships across vertical and horizontal stakeholder groups to ensure consistent alignment of objectives and desired outcomes.

- Lead continuous improvement projects and/or direct others on projects.

- Develop and apply consistent Change Management principles to initiatives that will affect our people.

- Provide cover for Controls Governance team activities, as needed

The ideal candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication, a solid grasp of process and change management concepts, experience working with Risk & Compliance teams, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional business partners.
 

Basic Qualifications:

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

- At least 2 years of Process Management experience

- At least 2 years of working in Risk or Compliance

- At least 2 years of working with data monitoring or data reporting teams

- At least 1 year of experience using Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree

- Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, or Business Process Management certification

- At least 3 years of Process Management experience

- At least 3 years of experience in Compliance or Risk Management

- Change Management experience
