Position Description
Responsible for facilitating onboarding and ensuring Retail Operations Center (ROC) new hires have a smooth and positive experience. Reviews, updates, and stays current with onboarding materials and tasks to ensure compliance with company policies. Organizes and facilitates Team Member engagement events in partnership with ROC leadership. Demonstrates proficiency working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapting quickly to changing priorities. Communicates relevant information, available services, events, and training opportunities that Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities offer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates daily Good Start Orientation (GSO) onboarding for ROC new hires, ensuring the required paperwork and training are completed.
- Reviews the onboarding presentation and material quarterly, confirming the content is current and meets any required policies, procedures, or regulation updates.
- Maintains accurate records of onboarding activities, ensuring required Workday tasks are completed, and continuously gathers feedback to improve the onboarding process.
- Consistently evaluates and enhances the GSO experience by proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, recommending solutions, and documenting process enhancements to be shared with leadership for approval.
- Partners with ROC leadership to create and facilitate Team Member engagement events that may include catered lunches and/or contests.
- Maintains the ROC Community Boards and keeps information up-to-date.
- Supports company-wide initiatives for Total Rewards in collaboration with the Benefits Supervisor and Sr. Manager of Inclusion & Engagement.
- Meets on a regular cadence with the Total Rewards leaders to stay up to date with initiatives and provides support where needed.
- Communicates with ROC leaders across departments to gather and share essential information for Team Members to be well-informed.
- Summarizes key takeaways when attending meetings, including action items, important updates, and potential impact on the business or Team Members, and keeps ROC leadership informed.
- Functions as a significant contributor to various projects and collaboration efforts.
- Provides reporting and project updates to leadership proactively.
- Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent and related experience within Goodwill
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to speak and read English proficiently
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize accordingly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience planning and coordinating trainings, meetings or events
- Outstanding interpersonal skills – must display patience, humor and helpfulness at all times
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding personnel information
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
