Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Engineer / Principal Systems Test Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT or Colorado Springs, CO, and supports the Sentinel program. 

What You'll Get To Do

  • Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management
  • Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
  • Integration of IP based devices into networks architecture. Will also support configuration, troubleshooting of devices / network
  • Work within and across teams to support and coordinate daily integration activities
  • Execute root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues
  • Coordinate integrated testing activities.
  • Oversee test activities in support or requirement verification and validation.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Basic Qualifications

Engineer Systems Test:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science with 2 years of experience or a Master's degree with 0 years of experience. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 2 years of experience operating in an Agile environment using any of the Atlassian software tool sets (JIRA, Confluence)
  • 2 years of experience with HW or SW integration in a lab / test environment
  • 2 years of experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment
  • 2 years of experience with Linux or Cisco operating systems

Principal Engineer Systems Test:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science with 5 years of experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 1 year of experience. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 3 years of experience operating in an Agile environment using any of the Atlassian software tool sets (JIRA, Confluence)
  • 3 years of experience with HW or SW integration in a lab / test environment
  • 3 years of experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment
  • 3 years of experience with Linux or Cisco operating systems

Required for Both Levels:

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period
