Your Impact  

As a Project Manager at Fountain House, you will  

• Be a catalyst for transforming our physical spaces to better serve our staff and members.  
• Manage capital projects that are grounded in accessibility, community input, and equity, assuring that every improvement directly supports the rehabilitation of our members.  
• Ensure that our spaces are welcoming, functional, and mission-aligned, ultimately helping people with serious mental illness live and thrive in society. 

Salary:  $85,000 to $110,000

Full-time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with some flexibility.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities  

Project Leadership 

• Partner with the Senior Director of Operations to oversee capital and facilities projects from planning to execution. 
• Champion the integration of member voices and accessibility into every project milestone. 
• Ensure that project goals align with Fountain House’s mission and the evolving needs of our community. 
• Organize and update project-related documents, including budgets, schedules, and vendor agreements. 

Mission Alignment & Stakeholder Engagement 

• Develop a strong understanding of Fountain House’s mission and how facilities impact psychiatric rehabilitation. 
• Maintain accurate, real-time tracking of timelines, budgets, and deliverables. 
• Work collaboratively with a diverse group of members, staff, vendors, and visitors to ensure facilities meet the needs of the community. 
• Proactively identify risks, delays, or challenges—and lead with solutions. 

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication  

• Lead project meetings, prepare clear summaries, and ensure all follow-up actions are completed. 
• Facilitate timely communication among internal teams, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. 
• Support internal and external reporting needs with clarity and transparency. 

Tracking & Reporting  

• Develop and maintain project tracking systems to ensure accountability and efficiency. 
• Monitor project budgets, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure alignment with organizational goals. 
• Partner with Senior Director of Operations and Legal on compliance matters, permits, and inspections related to capital projects. 

Equity & Inclusion in Design  

• Embed Fountain House’s REDI (Race, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion) values in all facilities planning and execution. 
• Consider universal design principles to ensure the environment is accessible and empowering for all members. 
• Foster inclusive relationships with vendors and community partners. 

Who You Are  

• A mission-aligned, detail-oriented project manager with experience in facilities or capital project planning. 
• A natural collaborator who brings clarity, coordination, and follow-through to multi-stakeholder environments. 
• A proactive communicator who thrives in dynamic, people-centered workspaces. 

What You Bring  

• 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in construction, capital projects, or nonprofit facilities development. 
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with experience managing multiple ongoing projects. <
