Senior Database Developer

Position Summary
The Senior Database Developer is responsible for the development, implementation and testing of data extraction, transformation, and load programs for large database projects. This role will act as a subject matter expert for operation data, working with the lead architects to understand their vision and develop based on the high-level direction. The Database Developer will work with internal project delivery teams to design solutions and implement programs according to the requirements and timelines specified.


Responsibilities

• Perform transformation and loading of data according to the business specifications
• Define, prepare, execute and implement data validation and unit testing methods to ensure data quality
• Perform enhancements and bug fixes as required
• Research issues by writing ad hoc queries to identify root cause
• Track work progress and report status via issue tracking system
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• 5-10 years of experience developing ETL processes in Microsoft SSIS
• 5-10 years of experience developing SQL queries and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
• Health care experience is preferred
