Associa is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician works closely with the Office Administrator and Facilities & Maintenance Technician to ensure work orders are handled efficiently, equipment remains reliable, and community spaces are prepared for daily use and special events. By protecting facilities, preserving property value, and maintaining a welcoming environment, this role enhances the quality of life in our community and contributes to the pride shared by residents.

Compensation:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Facility & System Maintenance
- Perform routine, preventive, and scheduled maintenance on facilities, equipment, and building systems (HVAC, pumps, lighting, access systems, etc.)
- Diagnose and complete general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, irrigation, and carpentry tasks, within skill and safety limitations
- Inspect the pool and mechanical systems regularly and assist with seasonal setup and close-down
- Maintain and repair amenities, including the Recreation Center, Gym, Community Room, Pool Deck, Sport Courts, and common-area structures
Vendor Coordination & Work Order Management
- Oversee vendor performance and ensure the completion of contracted maintenance tasks
- Assist with vendor scheduling, site access, and quality control for repair and capital projects
- Manage work order assignments, prioritization, tracking, and closure in collaboration with the Office Administrator
- Conduct routine inspections and promptly communicate improvement needs to Board leadership
Project & Capital Improvement Support
- Support small-scale capital repairs, replacements, and preservation of community assets
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and community equipment
- Provide input on future maintenance needs, lifecycle planning, and cost-effective solutions
Community Safety & Operations
- Respond to urgent facility issues and safety hazards professionally and efficiently
- Help ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and HOA policies
- Secure and maintain mechanical spaces, storage rooms, and restricted areas
Collaboration & Team Support
- Provide technical guidance and task assignments to the Facilities & Maintenance Technician
- Support community events and rentals through facility setup and operational readiness
- Engage courteously with homeowners and renters while working in shared environments
- Valid Driver's License required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance, facility services, or skilled trade work required
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical systems, and facility operations
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot repairs and coordinate with vendors or specialists
- Ability to safely operate tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
