Key Responsibilities

Nozzle Manufacturing Center Ownership

• Lead the transformation of the Nozzle Manufacturing Center. into a world-class, high-efficiency Nozzle Manufacturing Center.
• Manage and prioritize tool room work orders to effectively support manufacturing operations.
• Direct daily operations of tool room equipment and personnel, ensuring productivity and alignment to the dynamic production goals in a 24/5 operation.
• Performance Manage of the tool room staff (Up to 8 tool makers)
• Ensure facility systems and equipment are operating at optimal levels with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot daily operational challenges, manage maintenance schedules, and implement root cause solutions.
• Serve as a key liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing Operations to streamline communication and issue resolution.

Lean Line Development & NPI

• Champion the design, development, and installation of lean manufacturing lines in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Lead new product introduction (NPI) projects for nozzle components, providing both project leadership and technical expertise.
• Establish robust production processes including tooling, fixturing, machining standards, and operator workflows.
• Develop, verify, and validate CNC programs (3, 4, and 5-axis) using CAM software such as MasterCAM, NX, or SolidWorks.
• Validate the design and production readiness of new tooling, equipment, and processes.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Identify and execute continuous improvement (CI) opportunities across manufacturing cells using Lean principles.
• Act as a process expert and team leader during kaizen events and improvement initiatives.
• Drive advancements in machining and automation technologies to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
• Track and improve performance against Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) targets.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (OR High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in production processes and manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., MasterCAM, NX, Creo, SolidWorks).
• Strong working knowledge of CNC machining (3, 4, and 5-axis), EDM (Fast Hole and Plunge), and traditional fabrication equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project (or Smartsheet).
• Proven experience managing technical projects from concept through full-scale production.

Preferred:

• Advanced machining or CNC programming expertise.
• Lean Manufacturing experience, including kaizen and waste reduction initiatives.
• Hands-on leadership style with a strong shop-floor presence.
• Experience using Daily Management Systems (DMS) to drive problem-solving and performance.
• Previous experience managing a technical team of skilled tool makers.

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this position is $98,000 - $131,000 USD Annual.  The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus. ​

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
