Job Description

Over the last couple of years Deloitte’s services within financial and sustainability reporting experienced significant growth and we continue to see even stronger demand for our services going forward, including assurance of sustainability reports under ESRS/CSRD and expectations to understand the connection between how sustainability and climate-related issues affect the "traditional" financial reporting.

We are now looking for a Senior Manager or Director to lead our Financial Services Assurance Sustainability Reporting Services with a focus on the financial services industry (FSI). You will have a central and leading role in developing our assurance sustainability reporting services in general but specifically with a focus on serving banks, financial institutions and insurance companies. You will be a part of our leadership team within Assurance ESG.

You will have a clear focus on:

• Develop cutting-edge competencies in sustainability/climate reporting and assurance of sustainability reports within financial services industry,
• Actively participate in the development of our service offering together with Deloitte's sustainability reporting management team and
• Deliver first class assurance services on sustainability reporting to our clients

You will work closely with Deloitte's FSI Audit and Assurance team and Risk Advisory (who lead and are responsible for the development of all of Deloitte's ESG and sustainability services). In your role, you will jointly with our leading FSI Auditors lead our Assurance/attest engagements. You are expected to be active, and driving the development of our service offering and establish best practice solutions for our Assurance engagements. Therefore, it is valuable to have an interest in building networks with employees from other departments within Deloitte and other member firms outside Sweden.

The assignments vary in scope in everything from shorter investigative assignments to longer and more coherent projects. We work both with Deloitte's audit and risk advisory clients and perform advisory assignments for companies. The portfolio varies from some of Sweden's largest companies such as AB Volvo and Ericsson to fast-growing smaller companies, for example on their journey to the Stock Exchange.

A natural part of the role is lectures for both clients and Deloitte's employees and development of the department's structural capital (marketing material, newsletters and the like). The role may involve shorter trips, usually to Malmö and /or Gothenburg, but the scope of travel can be limited if necessary.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate the following

• At least 7 years of experience working with sustainability reporting or financial reporting background, or working as an auditor in an accounting firm or other company,
• Interest in deepening your knowledge in sustainability / ESG-reporting / ESRS /CSRD issues with a focus on sustainability reporting,
• Experience of auditing is a merit as you will actively develop our Assurance services, lead and support our audit teams with sustainability reporting and
• You collaborate well with your colleagues, and you like to help others develop and learn more, both technically and to build strong teams.
