Job Description

As a Senior Manager of Accounting in the Controllership organization, you will play a central role in managing ongoing accounting processes in complex areas, including Lease accounting and Treasury accounting. We are looking for candidates with experience leading global teams, overseeing the accounting close, evaluating complex transactions and documenting accounting positions under US GAAP, designing and executing controls to maintain SOX compliance, implementing process and system improvements, providing regular management reporting, and preparing schedules to support audits, reviews and financial statement preparation.

This position is based hybrid in our San Jose, CA home office

You'll excel in this role if you can:

• Act as the accounting subject matter expert for leasing (real estate and colocation), cash flow and fair value hedges and convertible debt 
• Manage close procedures, including preparation of the close calendar, monitoring close deliverables, and performing review of journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis and financial reporting
• Effectively lead and mentor a global team to successfully complete tasks within the specified timeline.
• Work closely with business partners (Treasury, Facilities, Cloud Operations, Engineering, Technical Accounting, FP&A) to address relevant accounting matters and collaborate on projects
• Assist FP&A in forecasting expenses related to your accounting areas
• Prepare SOX and audit ready schedules to support the 10-Q and 10-K filings
• Participate in the ongoing Finance Transformation and automation initiatives undertaken by the accounting team

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience, including exposure to publicly traded and SaaS companies
• Big 4 public accounting experience is highly desired (at least 3-5 years in a public accounting firm)
• CPA strongly preferred
• Technical accounting experience related to ASC 842 and ASC 815 is strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with software packages NetSuite, Leasecalcs, Capella, Clearwater is preferred

Additional Information

The base salary range for this full-time position is 135,000-150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits
