About the Role

Figment is hiring for a People Operations Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first global organization. We are looking for someone who is passionate about fostering a positive work culture, ensuring compliance, and driving excellence in People Operations. You will play a key role in the employee lifecycle, payroll and policy regulation on a global scale, and overall administrative support of our HR team.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the delivery of HR programs and processes related to workforce planning, employee engagement, performance reviews, promotion process and talent development in a remote environment
  • Serve as a point of contact to team members, answer questions, and help employees navigate inquiries
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the overall efficiency of People Operations
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR
  • Generate HR metrics and reports to assist in data-driven decision making
  • Lead integrations, maintenance and new features within our HRIS system HIBob and Google Drive
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, staying up-to-date on relevant changes
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
  • Work with external vendors to ensure seamless benefits administration
  • Conduct surveys and gather feedback to continuously improve employee satisfaction
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment
  • Support the performance review process and provide guidance on goal setting and feedback
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process for employees and contractors
  • Assist in our bi-annual promotion process
  • Manage PEO relationships (TriNet and Deel) and be comfortable managing HR practices in multiple different countries
  • Collaborate with HR, talent team and other cross-functional team members on developing processes and reporting/iterating on existing ones to create greater efficiency
  • Maintain and update internal HR documentation, including promotion letters, immigration, the company handbook and policies

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years progressive HR experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a successful track record of implementing processes that scale
  • Prior experience working on an international stage primarily with Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom with a focus on compliance
  • Experience working with EOR providers supporting EMEA, APAC and LATAM regions
  • Experience implementing an HRIS system and setting up best practices; specifically working with HiBob, Trinet, and Deel
  • Benefits administration experience
  • An ability to work independently to manage multiple ongoing projects and programs with high attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Exceptional ethics around confidentiality and highly sensitive information
  • An innovative problem solver who is proactive and loves to get things done
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good intuition, and the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Experience in a remote first distributed start-up or growth stage environment
  • Most importantly, you are a good human who enjoys working with a positive and collaborative team
