Maintenance Mechanic

Work location: Woodland, CA

Schedule: Night Shift, 10pm - 6:30am - full time

Pay: $28 - $33 per hour + $1.5 shift differential

Performs a wide variety of repairs, testing, modifications and installations of mechanical and basic electrical systems and equipment. Respond to trouble calls throughout the facility. Make quick analysis of mechanical and electrical problems through proper troubleshooting techniques and use of various test equipment and schematics.  

Requirements

 Maintenance Activities: 

- Responsible for the installation, modification, preventive maintenance and repair of food manufacturing equipment and machinery utilizing mechanical and electrical skills.

- Machine, fabricate, and assemble parts to dimensional specifications utilizing hand tools and machine shop tools.

- Work from blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, verbal instructions, and detailed repair drawings - install, relocate, or modify equipment and machinery. 

- Work closely with the operations teams to achieve plant performance objectives by effectively troubleshooting and quickly resolving equipment breakdowns, completing preventative maintenance tasks, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

- Perform start-up and shut down operations, making appropriate equipment adjustments and repairs and conducting calibrations of machinery as required.

- Must be able to perform intermediate mathematical calculations related to the job.

- Work closely with plant electricians in the installation, troubleshooting and repair of equipment and machinery.

- Retrieve and close out PMs and work orders from CMMS system.

- Make recommendations for PM adjustments and/or PM additions to equipment.

- Effectively communicate issues and resolutions with operators and management.
