Heavy Equipment Operator

Capital Quarries is seeking to fill an Equipment Operator position at our Jefferson City Quarry with travel when needed. This position consists of fluctuating hours, up to 10-hour days.

JOB DUTIES:

• Dirt removal
• Run 40-ton articulated truck
• Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner under varying weather conditions, while exposed to dampness, fumes, dust, electrical, mechanical, and traffic hazards.
• Being knowledgeable in the operation of multiple pieces of industry-related equipment.
• Routine maintenance on the equipment, including keeping equipment clean and operable.
• Communicate with foreman and coworkers about the daily job specifications.
• Perform general labor duties when necessary.
• Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Equipment experience, including Track hoe and Dozer experience
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
• Valid drivers license
• Weekends and travel required, as needed
