Overview
Titan Florida, LLC, has an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Manager in the Aggregates Division in Medley, FL. This salary, exempt position, will report directly to the Aggregates Plant Manager. The primary function of this position is to provide effective direction and leadership to the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Department, while ensuring the performance and safeguarding of the facility’s assets. The mindset of the candidate rotates around the optimization of the equipment reliability, productivity, utilization of system capabilities, implementation of process improvements, reduction and control of plant costs, capital project planning, and maintenance planning.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as safety champion to promote safe behavior within the maintenance department.
- Accountable for the effective supervision of all plant maintenance functions.
- Effectively manage the training and development of skills, knowledge and abilities within the electrical group of the maintenance department and manage resources to provide the same for the mechanical group.
- Efficiently manage the maintenance department’s budget, while focusing on optimization and reduction of plant costs.
- Oversee the preparation of capital budget, maintenance budget, and reporting.
- Oversee the mobile equipment program to include oversight of current outsourcing contract.
- Provide project management direction to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Oversee the troubleshooting of technical problems for company operating assets and provide direction as required.
- Review overall maintenance results for compliance within safety and industry standards and specifications.
- Advise supervisors of labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, etc.
- Continually inspect and evaluate electrical and mechanical components of the facility and equipment for effectiveness.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or related engineering fields) is required. Master’s degree in engineering or business administration is preferred.
- 7-10 years of management experience working in manufacturing or industrial electrical setting required (mining experience preferred).
- Experience with an industrial electrical setting which includes, high voltage power distribution, transformers, motor control equipment, small to large motors and large generators, low voltage automation and controls, PLC, ladder logic and system control software.
- Must have excellent leadership and management skills.
- Individual must exhibit professional ability to deal with others and to create constructive working relationships and an overall positive working environment.
- Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Project management skills and knowledge of basic financial analysis required.
- Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines, assist in the resolution of technical problems, and manage ambiguous information effectively.
