WHAT YOU GET TO DO

The Software Implementation Engineer is responsible for the analysis, implementation and maintenance of software solutions within customer environments. The role ensures stable system performance, high-quality delivery, successful execution of software changes and effective knowledge transfer through training for new KNAPP Software Engineers and customers. The Engineer works closely with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced support for KNAPP software products to 2nd Level Support Teams such as LOEs and Service Desk to maintain stable warehouse operations and guide complex incident handling.
  • Analyze logs and system behavior to support root-cause analysis, identify recurring issues, and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Analyze customer requirements and technical specifications for software changes and enhancements.
  • Design, plan and implement software changes, including configurations, customizations and bug fixes.
  • Coordinate software implementations effectively with on-site resources, service desk team, customers, and internal support teams.
  • Perform and coordinate quality assurance to ensure functionality, performance and system stability.
  • Create, coordinate, prepare and execute changes (RfCs) in alignment with established processes and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including technical specifications, test results and implementation changes.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to clarify requirements, provide updates and ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with software development, project teams, service desk and service delivery team.
  • Train new KNAPP Software Engineers and customers on relevant software functionality, implementation standards, troubleshooting practices and operational best practices.

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant education or experience will also be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience working with complex software systems, including system configuration, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and user support.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and navigate KNAPP complex system architectures and operational environments.
  • Experience with software implementation, system integration and technical support.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, quality assurance and Problem Management.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in Linux, databases, query-crafting, trace and log analysis, and logistics processes; experience with Java and/or C++ is preferred based on system scope.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
