Requisition Summary
Are you ready to make a direct impact in helping to shape our future? In this vital role, you will assist the North American Jobs and Global Repair and Maintenance Information (RMI) teams in the creation of service content.
You will be responsible for creating service repair instructions and times for PACCAR's service information portal, the Repair and Maintenance Information (RMI) Platform. You will collaborate with repair specialists to define repair instructions, author job steps, and determine repair times using our internal software programs.
Responsibilities Include
- Work cross-divisionally and cross-functionally throughout the RMI program design, validation, and implementation phases, as well as post-program launch to maintain best business practices and continuous process improvements.
- Coordinate with a global team to successfully launch our RMI program, including active workshop engagement and attendance as needed.
- Manages/authors jobs content in Empolis Content Lifecycle System (CLS) and Service Rapido Authoring Tool (SRAT).
- Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Repair Maintenance Information (RMI).
- Assist in development of training documents and procedures.
- Assists in training team members in the CLS and SRAT.
- Participates in per-program publication strategy.
- Works with SRT team and jobs authors to determine if Jobs steps are needed and depth of job steps.
- Provides peer-to-peer technical/truck knowledge support across aftersales teams.
- Compiles program documentation to drive appropriate step publication.
- Content optimization to integrate job steps with service content.
- Communicate with PACCAR stakeholders (Engineering, Aftersales, etc.) to ensure service content and procedures align with product requirements.
- Understand and encourage Agile/Program Management Methodology.
- Standard PACCAR travel up to 15%.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, technical writing, or a related subject.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the trucking or automotive industry or a demonstrated desire to develop mechanical aptitude.
- Motivated to learn and utilize new software applications.
- Technical aptitude and ability to succinctly communicate complicated topics, in a cross-functional work environment.
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, reporting and time management skills.
- Ability to work on dynamic projects with minimal guidance.
- Must be able to work in a results-oriented environment with a diverse set of stakeholders and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Continuous improvement and learning to support the evolution of our department.
- Motivated to provide high quality technical documentation for customers and dealers.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Sharepoint experience.<
