Position Overview
The Morgan Stanley at Work Governance & Oversight Associate role is part of the Morgan Stanley at Work Office of the COO and provides a unique opportunity to work across each of the Morgan Stanley at Work businesses and global jurisdictions to address some of our most critical and complex internal and external business challenges. As one of the primary facilitators of business risk processes within Morgan Stanley at Work, the Governance & Oversight Team is called upon to respond to challenges resulting from business, legal and regulatory change so we can continue to serve our clients and evolve our offerings.

Job Description/Position Responsibilities
The Morgan Stanley at Work Governance & Oversight Associate should expect to both support and lead key business governance and oversight processes as well as documentation, analysis, decision making, planning, and execution of key governance and oversight initiatives for Morgan Stanley at Work business leadership in support of overall KPI and business objective attainment.
- Support key Morgan Stanley at Work business oversight and governance processes
- Document and analyze support requests from Morgan Stanley at Work business leaders including scope, timeline, and resources
- Analyze business impact and criticality to drive project stack prioritization
- Identify and assemble cross-functional teams to develop solutions to business challenges
- Lead discovery meetings and workgroup discussions with relevant Subject Matter Experts
- Drive development of deliverables and other documentation to support approach alignment
- Translate governance and oversight initiatives into specific execution plans with task owners and target dates
- Host regular status sessions where workgroup members are held accountable for meeting commitments
- Deliver regular leadership updates to validate project assumptions, recommendations and risk mitigation approaches
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent listening and written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to meet multiple deadlines and stay organized
- Ability to self-direct and exercise sound business judgment in daily decision making
- Biased toward action with the ability to align others around the next step
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team skills including ability to work with senior management and cross-functional teams
- Creative, innovative and independent thinker who can visualize data and other business information to support decision making and planning
- Minimum requirements: BS/BA degree with at least 3 years of related industry experience
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft suite
