Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of related experience. Must possess sufficient educational background and/or experience to conduct clinical applications analysis and/or programming of intermediate to complex systems, analysis of clinical workflows, and system adoption strategies. An equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role may be considered for this position.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Epic certifications in Epic Ambulatory, Reporting Workbench, Healthy Planet, and CareEverywhere applications, as well as the Payer Platform functionality in Epic.  A strong clinical or clinical IT background may be considered in lieu of Epic certifications.

 

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, optimization, maintenance, and support of intermediate to highly complex clinical systems in compliance with all applicable regulations and organizational policies. Clinical applications include any software application used in support of the clinical enterprise including patient registration, patient billing, clinical documentation utilized in the ambulatory and inpatient settings, as well as applications for specific medical specialties such as, but not limited to, Radiology, Pathology, Oncology, Transplant, and Cardiology. Other responsibilities include providing intermediate analysis and documentation, formulating logical statements of business and management problems to develop requirements for configuration of clinical applications, and providing solutions to intermediate to complex problems utilizing more efficient operational procedures, workflows, and information technology solutions. This role also requires an understanding of the assigned system applications, functions, and features end-users would experience.

 

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Strong subject matter expertise, technical knowledge, and analytical skills.

  • General experience in documenting business processes, work planning, problem resolution, requirements and technical analysis, software design, software testing, and end-user training, and a general understanding of project lifecycle management.

  • Review current practices and workflows and research new technology solutions to develop EMR to meet customer’s needs.

  • Ability to manage multiple activities and projects.

  • The senior analyst will be expected to serve as a liaison between technical and business communities and must be able to communicate complex situations quickly and clearly to people with a variety of technical skills.

  • The senior analyst will serve as a role model to junior-level clinical application analysts.

  • Performs related duties as required and miscellaneous tasks as assigned

  • Ability to manage a wide range of projects, large and small, along with a high volume of service requests.

  • Ability to work independently and in a workgroup

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communications and follow-up skills, and strong interpersonal relationship skills

  • Responsible for intermediate to highly complex clinical systems; understands components and their interactions within complex systems.
