Job Description:
Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our F-35 FRST Operating Unit, wants YOU to join our Team as an Aircraft Mechanic 3 or Aircraft Mechanic 4 and join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Position to be staffed as an F-35 Aircraft Aviation Support Equipment Asset Representative at MCAS Miramar, CA.
* NOTE: This position may be filled as an Aircraft Mechanic 3 or Aircraft Mechanic 4 depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications.
Your duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Aviation Support Equipment (SE) Asset Representatives manage assets under the cognizance of the aircraft maintenance material readiness list (AMMRL) program, the F-35 lightning II program joint fleet management plan, and the United States Marine Corps F-35 integrated sustainment plan. They are responsible for SE physical and administrative inventory accountability, end-user fleet management, and requirements validation utilizing the Department of Navy’s Support Equipment Management System (SEMS), and the F-35 lightning II joint program office’s lighting II support equipment management system (LSEMS). The SE Representative provides technical guidance and logistics support for a broad range of F-35 Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and manage SE assets at the organizational level of maintenance via the O-level squadron alongside tenant squadron technicians, military personnel, and GSE mechanics (where applicable). You will also consult with other local GSE equipment managers, engineers, reliability engineering and suppliers to resolve customer equipment issues involving safety, usability, reliability, and availability. Additionally, you will collect, archive, submit GSE readiness status reports, and identify reliability and maintainability issues that affect readiness trends. SE Asset Representatives also use logistical management techniques, supply chain procedures, technical publications, automated data processing equipment to conduct, reconcile, and report SE asset inventories; acquire and dispose of SE assets; train subordinate SE asset users, validate requirements, and advise higher headquarters or adjacent commands on applicable SE management policies or aviation logistics strategy plans.
Using your training, knowledge, and experience to obtain special certifications (example: hydraulic contamination, borescope, etc.) as locally required per COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2_series and NAVMC 4790.1. Technical requirements also include fault isolation, troubleshooting, and repair of system failures detected during operational checks associated with modifications and restoration of SE to a serviceable operational condition subsequent to accomplishment of modifications and maintenance.
Interprets and uses various test equipment and works from wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals.
Your duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Ability to obtain equivalent Air Force 5 or 7 Level, US Navy or Marine Corps CDI /CDQAR, or equivalent.
Manage timely turn-ins for planned calibration cycles and verify Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) are current ranging from common to complex laboratory base reference
