Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience and a CPA. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing certain accounting operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. This role requires attendance in the Atlanta office on a hybrid basis.

What you’ll do:  

• Oversee the preparation and review of divisional financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and Corporate reporting requirements. 

• Perform analytic review of financial results and document analysis. 

• Lead the preparation and financial analysis over a critical accounting estimate, providing in-depth analysis and actionable insights and recommendations to leadership. 

• Design and maintain strong internal controls surrounding key processes (BS account recs, accounting estimates, etc.)  and ensure data integrity across all financial reporting. 

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 

• Partner with external auditors, consultants, and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, transparent, and timely reporting and delieverables. 

What you’ll bring to Zelis: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 6 years of relevant experience. 

• CPA or equivalent certification preferred. 

• Proven experience in accounting management, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, operational accounting, and internal controls. 

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to both internal and external stakeholders. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. 

• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.<
