The SOX Compliance & Control Senior Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining internal controls related to the segregation of duties in SAP and AX. This will involve collaboration across extensive groups of stakeholders and geographies.
What will you be doing?
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems processes, controls, and configurations to support SOD.
Facilitate and drive all discussions related to SOD with business partners, document SOD changes, and coordinate implementation with IT colleagues.
Identify and prioritize areas of potential risk within systems, and perform risk assessments related to systems configurations, user access and SoD-specific controls.
Facilitate walkthroughs and demonstrations to internal and external auditors, explaining the design & efficiency of internal controls
Lead and drive remediation activities for deficiencies noted by internal and external assurance providers.
Monitor and coordinate as applicable SOD, sensitive access, and other controls execution by control owners.
Generate regular reports on SOD compliance status, identifying and addressing any deviations promptly.
Support ERP implementation and other project work
What will you need to be successful?
5 years of experience operating in a control-related function (e.g. professional practice, internal audit, 2nd line control function, 1st line control execution)
Experience in understanding systems and how they connect/support established controls
Seeing projects through the full life cycle within the committed scope/budget/timeline
Perspective – able to weigh the cost / benefit of risk remediation vs. ongoing operations
Experience operating within a SOX environment, utilizing control frameworks to assess and mitigate risks related to segregation of duties in SAP/AX systems
Comfortable in dynamic environments, with different collaborators at varying seniority levels
Experience with the medical device industry (nice to have)
SAP experience required, SAP GRC and/or Fastpath tool (nice to have)
