Responsibilities & Qualifications
Maintenance Technician – 1st & 2nd Shift📍 Location: Farmington, Connecticut
💲 Pay Rate: $35 – $37.50/hour🕒 Shift Available:
Second Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM📅 Must be flexible within shift schedule, including possible weekends
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facility operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of facility machinery. Experience in a laundry environment is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility machinery
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
Program and troubleshoot PLCs
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs
Create and update SOPs and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
Communicate effectively with operators and management
Maintain and secure tools and workspace
Train new employees on proper maintenance procedures
Order tools and parts inventory as needed
Adhere to lockout/tagout protocols
Follow safety standards and maintain a clean work area
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Journeyman-level skill in at least one of the following:
HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, or PLC programming
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Manual dexterity and computer literacy
Prior experience in a laundry or industrial environment preferred
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
Physical & Work Environment
Manufacturing setting with frequent material handling
Must use required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhat
Regular use of tools and machinery
