About the role

The Lead Heart Transplant and VAD Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Manager/Supervisor in providing overall leadership and direction for the unit and for creating an environment that fosters a multidisciplinary team and collaborative approach to care that achieves operational and clinical "Best Practice".  Participates with the Manager in overseeing all aspects of the care delivery system and works organizationally to improve service.  Participates with the Manager to create and implement quality improvement initiatives, monitoring performance monthly based on metrics and decisions made collectively by the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) team.  Directs the professional nursing care for patients in the assigned area.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Maintain current education in the field and to attend at least one national meeting annually.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License 
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association 
  • Three years: Recent experience in related clinical area of nursing with demonstrated clinical knowledge and leadership qualities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
