Pay Range: $73,570.00 – $98,193.33

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee QC for 9 agg plants, Philadelphia portables, Downingtown recycle
• Provide technical guidance and support to ~8 indirect reports
• Monitor/manage day to day compliance with specifications/targets
• Heavy engagement with QC Techs on testing, customer complaints, statistical tracking
• Perform hands-on lab work as required
• Must be available as required for nights/weekends
• Engage with Operations, Sales and Construction on product quality, bid specifications, etc.
• Annual update of state required PennDOT QC plans, also ensure compliance throughout year
• Oversite of daily DOT certifications
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities (product and yield optimization)
• Implementing required standards, processes in HM labs
• Implement corrective action for any deficiencies found in labs or Technicians
• Training and development of new Technicians

What Are We Looking For

• Previous experience in the Hot Mix Asphalt Industry
• PennDOT Aggregate Technician certification preferred. Must be willing and able to pass the certification if it is not currently held
• Solid computer skills, MS Excel experience is required
• Demonstrated basic math skills
• Must be able to left over 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Ability to work overtime as needed including nights and weekends
• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers, contractors and plant personnel
