DSHS Fircrest RHC Custodian 1

Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) has a Custodian 1 position that will perform a variety of routine custodial, housekeeping, and general maintenance functions to maintain the cleanliness, safety and care of Fircrest RCH located in Shoreline, WA.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm, with Saturday/Sunday off.

What we're looking for:

  • Full-time assignment to the heavy duty crew for floor care
  • Using industrial equipment; moving furniture as needed
  • Participates in all moves on campus, including moves for both clients and staff
  • Clean sinks, toilets, mirrors, walls, partitions, windows and mop boards in facility bathrooms
  • Keep restrooms and storage closets properly stocked with supplies
  • Empty garbage cans and take garbage to the dumpster
  • Ability to take direction and multitask, including when working independently
  • Familiarity with principles and practices of janitorial maintenance
  • Ability to use power equipment and chemicals
  • Flexibility, as daily workflow may change to fit the needs of the facility
  • Other duties as assigned

Who should apply?

A valid Washington State Driver's license and a minimum age of 18

Additional Information:

  • King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use
  • Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary
