About This Role:

Thought Leader Engagement Lead EAST/WEST will be a visible leader within the US Marketing Team, and partner to the Field teams, overseeing Key Medical Expert/key professional stakeholder strategies and engagement plans to activate, educate and build advocacy to improve speed to therapy and coordination to improve patient care. This position is responsible for establishing strategic direction through analysis of insights to drive key strategic choices for the franchise.  More specifically, this position will focus on developing HCP influence mapping and strategic engagement plans and key customer experience solutions that crosscut HCP audiences.  

 

What You’ll Do

  • Create a modern, personalized, and differentiated Key Medical Expert/HCP Customer Engagement Strategy, that is measurable, mutually beneficial and aligned to overall business strategies.
  • Own and facilitate engagements with Key Medical experts for a section of the US.
  • Ensure launch readiness in the United States including specific Key Medical Expert/Medical Education initiatives and marketing programs that are executed effectively, efficiently, within budget and in accordance with all regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Alliance Partner, cross-functional partners, and all agencies; Manage relationship with agency to ensure expected deliverables are met.
  • Lead Key Medical Expert marketing initiatives in close collaboration with Alliance Partner and other key functional partners including local and regional field teams.
  • Execute on Key Medical Expert engagements including field meetings, education, congress, and executive meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7 years commercial experience; minimum 5 years marketing experience in the Psychiatry industry or equivalent
  • Experience working with Key Medical Experts
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
  • Ability to think innovatively in terms of engaging with customers and meeting their needs.
  • Coach, develop and lead cross functional partners.
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment and “roll-up your sleeves” culture.  A self-starter who functions well both independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication/coordination/interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively write and deliver presentations to senior management and customers.

 Preferred Skills

  • Experience with an alliance
  • Experience within psychiatry and specialty markets

The base compensation range for this role is $160,400to $240,600. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, job related years of relevant experience, internal equity, and location of the job. Additionally, this role is eligible for participation in Biogen’s LTI grants and other incentive programs.
