GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

- Teach the assigned classes of students in the clinical setting according to the overall goals and objectives of the program, advancing the students’ knowledge of the subject matter.
- Adhere to clinical schedule.
- Evaluate and provide student feedback according to guidelines.
- Communicate with program Directors/Dean.
- Comply with policy and procedures of Hinds Community College and clinical agency.
- Complete all required clinical agency training.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
A Master’s Degree with a major in Nursing and a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse. Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
Must hold an unencumbered registered nurse license to practice in Mississippi.
Must satisfy a criminal history background check, drug screen, and other clinical requirements.

Attendance
Work a minimum of 35 hours each week (including campus and clinical assignments) during each contracted semester [Less than full-time contractual instructors work a proportional workweek.]
Part – time or clinical adjunct faculty will work clinical hours according to need.
Meet all assigned classes, lab, simulation, and clinical assignments.
Arrive on time and stay for assigned length of time for all duty days.
Notify immediate supervisor in a timely manner of any unplanned tardiness
