SUMMARY

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides visionary, mission-driven leadership for Lower Lights Christian Health Center (LLCHC), guiding the organization in fulfilling its mission, advancing its strategy, and achieving measurable goals. The CEO sets a tone of compassionate, high-quality care and operational excellence, ensuring all services reflect LLCHC’s core values and meet the needs of the diverse communities we serve.

The CEO reports directly to the Board of Directors and leads the executive team in the delivery of equitable, high-quality, and financially sustainable healthcare. This role includes strategic planning, operational oversight, stakeholder engagement, and compliance leadership, while serving as the primary ambassador for LLCHC with partners, funders, and the community.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic & Business Planning

• Lead development and execution of the organization’s strategic plan, aligning vision, mission, and goals.
• Collaborate with the Board and leadership team to define annual performance targets and success metrics.
• Oversee planning and implementation of new initiatives, services, and partnerships.
• Assist in recruitment, retention, and engagement of high-quality clinical providers and staff.
• Partner with internal and external parties to identify new opportunities, strategic relationships, and major donors.

Organizational Leadership

• Establish and support an effective leadership structure, with clear job roles, accountability, and cross-functional coordination.
• Delivers timely and actionable feedback to help individuals and teams grow.
• Lead an inclusive culture focused on collaboration, excellence, innovation, and equity.
• Oversee human resources policies, risk management, and compliance practices.
• Promote continuous learning and a values-aligned workplace.
• Guide the development and implementation of policies and procedures across operations, finance, HR, and compliance.
• Ensure LLCHC is leveraging technology and data systems to support care delivery and performance.
• Assist the Development team in grants strategy and resource planning.

Financial Oversight & Sustainability

• Ensure the financial strength and integrity of LLCHC through sound planning, budgeting, and cost management.
• Review and approve major financial reports, budgets, and investments.
• Collaborate with the CFO to analyze trends and address financial risks proactively.
• Support the Development team in cultivating philanthropic and grant funding.
• Present accurate and timely financial reports to the Board of Directors.
• Lead marketing and revenue strategies to expand patient access and program impact.

Program Oversight

• Provide executive oversight for all clinical and non-clinical programs.
• Establish strategic direction and accountability for program design, quality, and performance outcomes.
• Delegate authority and leadership to appropriate staff for program implementation.
• Monitor program impact and patient outcomes to ensure alignment with community needs.
