Job Overview:
The CST is a Certified Surgical Technologist, who performs various care activities including scrub duties and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort and safety of the patients served. The CST aids professional staff and works under the direction of the registered nurse. The CST must be able to demonstrate growth and development knowledge and skills to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Employee must be able to successfully complete job specific orientation, competencies, and meet/exceed standards as identified in the criteria-based performance appraisal.
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:
- Graduate of accredited school of certified surgical technology.
- Current CST certification in the state of Indiana.
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider.

Education and Experience: Graduate of accredited school of certified surgical technology. Successfully completes unit orientation program. Successful completion of hospital required classes/competencies. Current CST certification in the state of Indiana, Basic Life Support Health Care Provider.
A mixture of 8 and 10 hr shifts at Deaconess GW Procedure Center area. Will assist with Pain, Urology, and Respiratory Therapy procedures, as well as work in the scope reprocessing rooms.
