Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This role, in our Health Solution Sector will support programs for key clients like the Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC)
Responsibilities
- Resolve logged errors for staff and customers related to hardware, O/S, software, and connectivity issues.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose computer hardware, O/S, software, and network issues onsite at customer locations.
- Maintain system stability through advanced analytical techniques, timely resolution of incidents, and proactive maintenance to provide the maximum availability and reduce Mean Time-to-Repair for increased customer productivity.
- Reimage PCs/laptops when needed.
- Perform periodic PC refreshes and Windows updates as well as upgrading hardware and systems.
- Recover PCs/laptops from hard drive crashes.
- Maintain databases and ensure system security.
- Perform monthly patch management of customer IT environment.
- Perform device Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes and Deletions on customer devices through proper Change Control and backups.
- Maintain inventories of hardware and software licenses in conjunction with the Asset Management Team.
- Maintain network diagrams and circuit records.
- Document processes and perform diagnostic tests.
- Train end-users on hardware functionality and software programs.
- Review customers’ feedback about their experience with the Desktop Support team.
- Keep track of technological advancements and trends in IT support
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
- At least 2+ years’ experience in IT-related work supporting end-user computing devices.
- Experience with different operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience providing desktop support to a federal government agency
- Experience using Remedy or ServiceNow as a CRM
- Microsoft IT Support Certification
- ITIL v3 Certification
- Comp TIA A+ Certification
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Safe Practitioner 5.1
- Safe Dev-Ops 5.1
- AWS Cloud Practitioner

Target Salary Range
