Director, Accounting Transformation & Controls

Our AI-powered product network empowers governments and businesses to build a more resilient and secure global economy while keeping trade flowing.</p></div><p class="p1"><strong>The Opportunity at Altana</strong></p> <p class="p1">We are looking for a sharp, hands-on Director of Accounting to transform our team leading the implementation of agentic AI based solutions to increase the accuracy of the company’s accounting and reporting capabilities. In this role, you will manage and quarterback the monthly closing process, streamline our internal accounting processes end-to-end including procure-to-pay and quote-to-cash. You will work cross-functionally with teams across the company and be a key driver of financial accuracy, reporting transparency, process efficiency, and operational scale. This role reports directly to Altana's Controller.&nbsp;</p> <p class="p1"><strong>Your Role</strong></p> <p><strong>Transformation &amp; Controls</strong></p> <ul> <li>Embed AI solutions into workflows on a regular basis.&nbsp;</li> <li>Complete and maintain SOX risk assessments as the Company grows and scales.</li> <li>Build the framework for SOX readiness workstreams, leveraging agentic AI solutions including journal entry automation, transaction matching, and flux analysis.&nbsp;</li> <li>Implement integrations across the company’s suite of software to streamline reporting.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>NetSuite Administration &amp; Month – End Close Optimization</strong></p> <ul> <li>Serve as the internal NetSuite expert, managing workflows, saved searches, and reporting.</li> <li>Partner with IT and Finance leadership to support system upgrades, integrations, and new module implementations as the Company scales.</li> <li>Ensure data integrity and build scalable processes that grow with the business and accelerate month-end close accuracy and utility.</li> <li>Lead the identification of control gaps and work cross-functionally to remediate findings and strengthen control environment.</li> <li>Streamline allocations across verticals and transaction types through a systematic and automated process.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Team Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage and develop a lean, high-performing accounting team, setting clear priorities and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.</li> <li>Adapt quickly to shifting business needs and lead the team through change with clarity and confidence.</li> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for external and internal audito
