Registered Nurse (RN), Med Surg, Full Time, Nights

Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. Orients to the planning, coordination, and provision of nursing care to patients on the medical/ surgical unit. This position orentates to the care of age-related physiological, emotional and cognitive needs of the following age groups of patients: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric.  Includes, but not limited to:  Care planning, vital signs, medication dosages, physiological changes, and psychosocial needs.  Orients to the supervising and delegating of care responsibilities to ancillary personnel commensurate with their scope of practice.

EDUCATION:

• A.S. or equivalent: required
• B.A or B.S: preferred

REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• BLS through the American Heart Association
• CA RN License

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 

Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.  Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.  Must be fluent in spoken and written English.  Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

12 Hour Work Schedule, 0700-1930

36 hour weekly
