Platform Engineer - SRE Platform

FREENOW empowers smarter mobility decisions helping people to move freely and cities to thrive. The SRE Infrastructure team is responsible for providing a resilient, performant and secure infrastructure for maximising developer efficiency while at the same time being most cost effective.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain our cloud based infrastructure, CI/CD pipeline, monitoring and logging stack
• Influence and create new designs, architectures, standards and methods for large-scale distributed systems
• Engage in service capacity planning, software performance analysis and system tuning
• Plan and execute migrations of key services
• Coach other engineers with workshops and trainings about the latest developments of the platform

Our main tech stack includes Amazon ECS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab, Artifactory, OpenSearch, Prometheus

Your profile:

• Strong experience in Container Orchestration
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code
• Experience in setting up and maintaining a CI/CD pipeline
• Experience in setting up and maintaining a Centralized Log Management System
• A security conscious mindset
• A passion to eliminate toil by simplifying and automating as much as possible
• A systematic problem solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership
• The ability to script yourself out of a problem with Bash or Python
• 3+ years of work experience in related roles and responsibilities
