Senior Engineering Manager

About the Role

We’re seeking an Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team in our Sports Data Platform area. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across Happening—including Product Design, Data, QA, and more—to drive both people development and technical success in the Sports domain.

• Experience with microservices: designing, deploying, and maintaining microservices-based applications

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading a team of engineers, including tech leads, software engineers, and QAs

• Driving professional growth for your team through coaching, mentoring, regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning

• Removing roadblocks and distractions to help the team stay focused and productive

• Collaborating closely with other engineering managers, technical leads, and product managers

• Coordinating with stakeholders to define priorities, manage expectations, and ensure transparency and regular communication

• Setting clear goals, timelines, and requirements to align with broader engineering department objectives

• Making thoughtful technical and business decisions that ensure high-quality, stable, and timely deliveries

• Promoting a strong culture of engineering excellence—no compromises on quality or reliability
