About the role

Provides quality patient care by performing as an expert practitioner, educator, consultant, and researcher in matters related to specialty area. Manages clinical activities, evaluate a patient's needs, coordinate and manage the delivery of care, and ensure a seamless transition from one care service to another2. Their primary duties include rearranging care plans when problems arise, visiting patients to monitor the care provided, and working with the care team to assess the treatment1.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Works cooperatively within own department and with other services to create a system of quality health care delivery.
  • Maintains current knowledge in area(s) of clinical supervision.
  • Manages department(s) with consideration for safety.
  • Participates in, and provides leadership for, development of policies-department of nursing and unit specific.
  • Determines staffing requirements and communicates those as appropriate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree, or diploma in Nursing from an Accredited institution
  • Current Maryland licensure or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • At least 3-5 years of clinical experience
  • Previous supervisory experience is a plus
