Sr. Software Engineer, 0365 - Exocompute

About Team & About Role:

The team you are joining focuses on SaaS application protection, such as Office 365, Salesforce, etc. As the industry moves more towards SaaS applications in the cloud, data protection (backup and recovery) for these SaaS applications becomes a critical need for our customers. 

You’ll work on problems at scale i.e. how to efficiently provide data protection for millions of users’ emails or documents. You’ll be part of the team that drives the next generation of SaaS protection and drives the company’s next growth engine. You will design, build, and maintain Rubrik’s cloud data protection services. You’ll help solve problems such as:

• How do you backup and restore SaaS data efficiently at scale? 
• How do you optimize cloud computing/storage so that the cost remains low at scale?

In addition to solving these engineering problems, you will collaborate with partner teams such as Product Management, UI, UX, documentation and support teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in developing large-scale distributed systems 
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems and working with public clouds such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience in data structures, algorithms, software design, and systems analysis
• Experiences in performance optimization, working with SaaS applications like O365, Salesforce is a big plus
• Experiences in Golang is a plus
• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US Pay Range$154,800—$258,000 USD
