As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an educational environment, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, supporting access control, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication to students, faculty, and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the campus environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, classrooms, residences, and campus perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report any suspicious behavior, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying the identity of individuals as required.
- Support emergency response protocols and assist first responders when necessary.
- Document incidents, observations, and activities in a clear and accurate manner according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
- Provide visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity within the education location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
