Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Education Director, responsible for the overall coordination and completion of activities to meet the goals of Project AWARE and duties of the SCIT Community Project Manager. Oversee the daily operations of the Project AWARE program including management of all employees and funding sources; coordination with three Local Education Agencies (LEAs); and compliance with the funding agreement, project proposal, and best practice standards. All education staff must adhere to mandated reporting laws. This is a grant funded position. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with local, state, private, and tribal agencies to build program capacity.
  • Serve as the outreach person for community resource coordination.
  • Develop and coordinate community outreach and education.
  • Communicate and serve as a liaison between Project AWARE team members.
  • Act as the teacher resource contact and Evaluator Point of Contact.
  • Guide the strategic planning process.
  • Facilitate local planning meetings; prepare agendas; maintain meeting minutes.
  • Organize and implement trainings.
  • Oversee development of new services.
  • Represent Project AWARE at quarterly events, meetings or with other relevant groups such as local school boards.
  • Ensure timely collection, completion, and submission of all data inclusive of quarterly progress reports.
  • Fiscal management of local grant funds.
  • Promote and publicize Project AWARE accomplishments.
  • Strengthen ties with area mental health providers.
  • Interview and hire program staff, supervise and evaluate staff work performance, and ensure disciplinary actions are in accordance with Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Review case files and documentation practices.
  • Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, and establish networks with other service providers.
  • Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with Tribal Operations and Education policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
