Position Summary
The HR Recruitment Intern will support high-volume hourly hiring at the plant by assisting with recruiting outreach, candidate communications, plant tours, interviews, and new-hire processing. This role provides hands-on exposure to real recruiting and HR operations in a manufacturing environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment & Outreach
Conduct outbound and inbound calls to applicants regarding open positions
Assist with recruitment marketing, including job postings, follow-ups, and applicant outreach
Communicate job details, schedules, and plant expectations to candidates
Plant Tours & Interview Support
Host and lead plant tours for candidates
Coordinate and assist with interview scheduling and hosting
Serve as a point of contact for candidate questions during the interview process
New Hire Paperwork & Data Entry
Assist with new-hire paperwork and onboarding documentation
Perform accurate data entry in HR systems (applicant tracking, HRIS, timekeeping)
Support employment verification and onboarding checklists
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field
Comfortable communicating by phone and in person
Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
Professional demeanor in a plant/manufacturing environment
Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Schedule & Hours
25–40 hours per week, based on availability
Flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments
May include early mornings to support hiring events or orientations
