Senior Instructional Systems Designer

Target salary range: $78,000 - $83,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Position Description:

ISDs are responsible for the successful development of training programs and curricula in support of customer and program objectives.

ISD responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and provide educational or training services in:
  • Microsoft Office Suit (Visio, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • CPM
  • AIM/LOM
  • Adobe Captivate
  • Articulate 360
• Selection of appropriate learning and instructional media to meet learning needs
• Assist with planning, development, and release of products across specifically assigned cross functional teams
• Ensure the completion of all aspects of projects adhering to master plans schedules
  • Conduct analysis of current training deficiencies and planned system/process modifications and recommend possible training system modification/updates requirements
  • Conduct needs analysis and assessments to determine the appropriate content for training modification/update requirements
• Develop training and curriculum products using a systematic approach, adult learning theories, learning technologies, and industry best practices for instructional design
  • Development or updating of Instructional materials
  • Development or updating of training curricula materials
  • Development or updating training assessments
  • Development or updating of Interactive Multimedia Instructional (IMI) products
• Be an energetic self-starter, able to develop a personal day-to-day schedule based on project schedule deadlines while also complying with customer meeting schedule
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, are consistent; and satisfy both external and internal requirements
• Read and understand DoD Instructions, Ready Relevant Learning, and Career Long Learning Continuum policies

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• US Citizenship required
• Must have at a minimum, active “Secret” security clearance
• 8+ years’ experience in instructional systems analysis, design, and development
• 8+ years of experience in the instructional system design process (PADDIE)
• 5+ years of experience in the development of Instructor-Led-Training (ILT)
• Expert knowledge of learning theory and the principles, methods, practices, and techniques of one or more specialties of the instructional systems field
• Expert knowledge of one or more subjects or occupations in which educational or training instruction is provided
• Excellent computer skills; expert in Microsoft Office software
