As a Cloud Security Architect, You Will:

• Review cloud security architecture by developing comprehensive security architecture recommendations for cloud-based systems, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) environments
• Conduct risk assessments to identify and assess potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the cloud infrastructure and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies and controls
• Establish cloud security policies and standards by defining security policies, standards, and guidelines for cloud-based systems in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Advise on the deployment of secure cloud solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect, configure, and deploy secure cloud solutions while ensuring compliance with security requirements
• Develop incident response plans to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely manner. Conduct post-incident analysis and provide recommendations for remediation and prevention
• Design robust identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including user provisioning, authentication, authorization, and role-based access control (RBAC) mechanisms
• Conduct security audits and assessments of cloud infrastructure, services, and applications to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Provide guidance and training: Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to provide guidance, training, and support on cloud security-related matters, promoting a culture of security awareness

 

To Be Successful, You Need:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years experience with proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions
• Expertise in cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their respective services and features
• In-depth understanding of cloud architecture principles, including scalability, elasticity, reliability, and security
• Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure, including virtual networks, storage, compute resources, and security controls
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
