Senior Data Scientist

What does a successful Senior Data Scientist do at Fiserv?
As a Senior Data Scientist at Fiserv, you will drive AI Ops initiatives, leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and data-driven insights to enhance operational efficiency and improve decision-making. You will support the deployment of AI solutions across the organization, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior data scientists to uphold Fiserv’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

What you will do:

• Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to optimize AI operations and enhance system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate model performance and improve operational processes.
• Monitor and maintain AI models in production, ensuring they operate effectively and efficiently.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the development of best practices in data science and AI Ops

What you will need to have:

• 10+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on AI and machine learning applications.
• 7+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• 7+ years of experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Matplotlib).
• 7+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field

What would be great to have:

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in problem-solving with complex datasets.
• 5+ years of experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• 5+ years of successful project management and collaboration in team-oriented environments.
• 3+ years of experience mentoring and developing junior data scientists.
   

Salary Range

$129,400.00 - $217,900.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company’s sole discretion.
