This position has flexible working days Monday through Sunday and can be morning, afternoon, or evening shifts, and pays a weekend differential for full-time employees. Clinic locations will be decided depending on your preference.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during cardiac procedures
  • Monitor patient vitals and provide appropriate interventions during procedures
  • Administer medication, including conscious sedation, as directed by physicians
  • Perform accurate and thorough documentation of patient care
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient procedure scheduling
  • Monitor patients during angiograph and in the recovery room
  • Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and recovery process
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid RN license in the state of New York, required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab or critical care environment, preferred
  • CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS certification, required
  • Experience starting peripheral IV’s and phlebotomy, required
  • Experience application of leads for Telemetry Monitors and ECG’s, required
  • Experience utilizing Pulse Oximetry monitoring, required
  • Must be familiar with peripheral arterial catheterization lab procedures, as well as post-procedure recovery work
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate and thorough documentation
