Your Role:

 

The Downstream Technical Application Specialist is experienced in downstream purification operations, with an emphasis on Clarification and Tangential Flow Filtration. The Specialist will work with the local Sales and Process Development Scientist teams to support customer opportunities in the Western United States. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Leverage expertise and strategic insights in the downstream technologies field including filtration and purification portfolios to effectively collaborate with commercial partners and drive sales
  • Identify strategic opportunities to gain market share, grow the business and develop plans of action for Competitive Conversion, New Product Introductions (NPI), Product Adoption (PA) and Application Based Solutions (ABS)
  • Bring customer and commercial feedback to leadership, business, & strategy to share best practices and identify potential gaps
  • Travel: 30% domestic travel to customer locations within Western US & Canada

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or other life science discipline
  • 1+ year of hands-on downstream purification experience in the biopharma industry
  • 1+ year of experience with TFF development and/or clarification purification unit operations

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or chemistry, chemical engineering or other life science discipline
  • 5+ years direct experience with development and implementation of purification unit operations
  • Strong customer and sales orientation with excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills  
  • Sales or marketing organization experience
