Position Overview:

The Project Manager, Digital Transformation is a key member of the Global Development Innovation (GDI) Transformation team which is uniquely responsible for alignment and integration across GDI of strategic initiatives, project management, planning and execution.

This role will support the Transformation and Systems implementation, leading the Program Management Office (PMO) function for key projects, which include the ones established as part of the GDI Transformation route map and the associated systems’ implementation (e.g., ERP, LIMS, etc.)

The role will provide expertise by direct collaboration on implementing and managing project management routines and metrics that effectively measure and inform management on program and project progress / performance / benefits as they flow through the Program Management Office (PMO), while supporting an optimized allocation of resources to meet GDI, Technical Innovation & Suuply Chain (TI&SC) and Company targets.

This is a key role in the design and enablement of the global, multi-year (3-5 years) GDI Transformation journey, being able to reach an efficient and effective cooperation across the global organization. 



Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in implementing and leading management routines and metrics that effectively measure and inform management on project progress / performance / benefits. Design and coordinate global and regional PMO meetings.

  • Work closely with the GDI Management on a broad range of strategic initiatives, to ensure alignment and execution / integration across GDI, through project management planning and execution, in the fields of Transformation and Systems implementation.

  • Support the communication strategy to maintain the GDI Transformation program momentum.

  • Collaborate in the development of multi-year strategy and process to continually build digital innovation pipeline as part of business planning process.

  • Support the definition of global standards for processes, tools, capability, organization. 

  • Support Geographies in implementation and execution.


Education Requirements:
University/Advanced Degree in Engineering.

Related Work Experience:
To be a successful candidate for this role, the person will need to demonstrate excellent business process knowledge, coupled with experience in large-scale (global) program management. 

Functional Skills:

  • Experience in R&D environments with a full view and understanding of the key business cycle processes.

  • 5+ years of diversified Business Process and operational knowledge.

  • Strong program management skills, including experience of multidisciplinary/stakeholder projects, and ability to deliver project objectives with tight deadlines.

  • Experience of interacting with, influencing, and providing guidance to senior executives on substantive issues in a complex portfolio / matrixed business.

  • Change management.

  • Influencing and communication skills.

  • Ability to operate in multi-cultural and virtual environment.

  • Inspirational leadership.
