Job Description
Under limited direction, responsible for developing applications and processes required to extract, transform, cleanse, and manage data in support of the organization’s analytics ecosystem. As a senior member of a high-performance team, ensure data integration services are consistently and reliably maintained and analytics capabilities are delivered at an optimum level, helping the organization identify insights from a large number of diverse datasets.
• Study data sources by interviewing users; define, analyze, and validate data objects; identify relationship among data objects.
• Plan data integration process by developing common definitions of sourced data; design common keys in physical data structure; establish data integration specifications; examine data applications.
• Examine data models and determine best-fit data interchange methods.
• Assess middleware tools for data integration, transformation, and routing.
• Develop project scope and specifications identify factors that negatively impact integration; forecast resource requirements and establish delivery timetables.
• Design, specify and select integration and data solutions, consider current and future functionality, enterprise data sources and stores, security, infrastructure and performance.
• Deliver data integration integrating data shared across legacy, new development, and purchased package environments using various technologies and toolsets.
• Map data, establish interfaces, develop and modify functions, programs, routines, and stored procedures to export, transform, and load data.
• Meet performance parameters; resolve and escalate integration issues; documents operational procedures and data connections.
• Work with Data Engineers and Database Administrators to design and create physical data structures.
• Coordinate actions among users, operations staff, and outside vendors; recommend adjustments as objectives change.
• Identify and resolve data conflicts; upgrade data definitions.
• Improve data integration by designing and evaluating new data interchange formats; improve physical design; rewrite data policy, standards, and procedures.
• Lead in designing, specifying and selecting integration and data solutions, considering current and future functionality, enterprise data sources and stores, security, infrastructure and performance.
• Working with Data Scientists, Business Intelligence Developers and other developers, build integrations, tools and scripts that take advantage of the insights to support organizational strategic, clinical, ad-hoc and regulatory imperatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or closely related field.
- Seven (7) years of experience designing and developing integrations to internal and external applications.
- Seven (7) years of experience with integration patterns, concepts and integration platforms.
- Seven (7) years of experience delivering and supporting real time integration solutions using a variety of technologies.
- Five (5) years of experience designing and implementing data integration solutions using ETL tools (e.g., DataStage, Informatica, Pentaho Kettle, SSIS, etc.) to extract data from various source systems, transform it according to business rules, and load it into target databases or data warehouses.
- Two (2) years of experience with JSON, XML, and Python.
Salary Range: $140,000 to $150,000 per year
