Summary

Manage the daily customer service operations of the warehouse both internal and externally, including transfers, managing all aspects of customers’ orders and returns, maintaining high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, and providing impeccable customer service to our clients. Assist Warehouse Manager with daily distribution and logistics tasks as needed.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Follows operational procedures for verification of outgoing customer shipments and branch transfers, handling, and disposition of merchandise including pulling and staging, and keeping of warehouse inventory.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse by supervising and implementing good housekeeping policies for warehouse employees.
Manage transfer generation and shipment confirmations within the inventory management system, accurately documenting all discrepancies and ensuring compliance with company transfer policies and procedures.
Proficient in utilizing wireless warehouse management systems to maintain inventory accuracy through physical counts and bin audits, accurately identifying and reporting inventory discrepancies.   
Responsible for following and enforcing all safety rules and regulations including safety meetings and reporting, forklift inspections and reports.
Collaborates with warehouse, purchasing, and other managers to optimize processes.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; one to two years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience leading and motivating warehouse teams in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
Experience overseeing the accurate picking, packing, staging, and loading of customer orders.
Thorough understanding of warehouse safety regulations, OSHA standards, various warehouse equipment, and safe material handling practices.
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to analyze operational challenges, identify process improvements, and ensure accurate, timely, and complete order fulfillment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform other physical tasks for extended periods of time, including safely lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
