Senior AI/ML/NLP Software Engineer

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior AI/ML/NLP Software Engineer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

• Develop and maintain software applications in NLP, ML, and AI fields;
• Train custom machine learning/deep learning models with structured and unstructured data;
• Select features, build, and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques;
• Improve machine translation engines and ensure data quality and integrity through interaction with data stewards;
• Create automated anomaly detection systems, data mining, and data cleansing;
• Design and implement IT architecture for NLP/ML/AI solutions, ensuring data consistency and accuracy;
• Write technical documentation, conduct tests, and assist with system deployment.

Requirements

• University degree in combined with relevant IT professional experience of 13 years;
• Extensive hands-on experience with the design and implementation of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG);
• Very good knowledge of programming in Python (programming in R is considered an asset);
• Very good experience with libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, Hugging Face, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or Keras;
• Very good knowledge with using cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for designing and implementing scalable AI/ML/RAG/ solutions;
• Extensive hands-on experience with various machine learning algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning;
• Good knowledge and experience of deep learning, neural networks and in training deep learning models;
• Knowledge of the involved Mathematics and Statistics (Linear algebra, Calculus, Probability theory Statistics, Optimization techniques);
• Good knowledge of data pre-processing and analysis techniques as well as data visualization using tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn or Plotly;
• Good experience with RDBMS like Oracle (latest version) and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra;
• Good knowledge of NLP techniques and libraries like NLTK, spaCy, or Transformers;
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning algorithms and environments;
• Excellent command of the English language.
