As a member of the Blue Origin family of companies Honeybee Robotics has been at the forefront of robotics for over 40 years, establishing ourselves as pioneers in developing novel exploration systems for the most extreme planetary environments. At our Southern California location, we look to "Touch Life" by supporting planetary science, including every NASA Mars rover since Spirit and Opportunity. We aim to "Mine the Sky" through the development of practical In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) solutions. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will be responsible for production and testing of electrical assemblies, assembly of printed circuit board assemblies, harnesses, and polymeric processes. The technician will also be responsible for the upkeep, orderliness, and inventory of the electronics lab and related assembly areas.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- 5+ years working in an engineering field and/or electronic assembly environment
- Soldering and PCBA assembly and rework
- General knowledge of electronics test equipment: Oscilloscope, DMM, Function Gen, etc.
- Fabrication of cable harnesses in compliance with NASA STD 8739.4 or IPC 620
- Interpret electrical assembly drawings to build detailed fabrication work instructions.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy and clarity of instructions.
- Ownership and support of electronics test lab and equipment
- Board and system test and debug
- Electronics test support: EMI/EMC, Vibration, Thermal
- Test set development
- Support engineering team in various projects
Minimum Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with most of the following:
- Electronics hardware assembly via IPC J STD-001
- Harness assembly per NASA STD 8739.4
- Polymerics application per NASA STD 8739.1• [System, machine, or skill specific requirement]
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in an AS9100 environment
- Space flight hardware validation & verification experience a plus
- Experience in working with ERP software and proficiency in compiling fabrication instructions.
Compensation Range for:
CA applicants is $35.52-$49.73Other site ranges may differ
