Loan Documentation Specialist

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Loan Documentation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing loan documents and ensuring the timely closing of loans. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions

• Review and analyze credit authorizations and underwriting files to verify appropriate due diligence has been performed and assess information needed to document loans.
• Review corporate, LLC, and partnership entity documents to understand structure and verify signing authority.
• Draft loan documents using documentation software and attorney-prepared forms according to negotiated and approved terms.
• Assist in reviewing loan documents for accuracy and conformity to Bank policy.
• Prepare escrow closing instructions for commercial real estate loans.
• Review signed documents; assist with electronic signatures and loan closings.
• Ensure accuracy of information provided to the Loan Operations department for loan boarding.
• Comply with all applicable compliance rules and regulations.

Requirements

•  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent in related work experience.
• 1-2 years’ work experience in banking, finance, real estate, or comparable education and experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with LaserPro loan documentation software a plus
